[It's been two weeks since the end of the House of M event, and Kenshin still hasn't fully recovered from what happened. He may never heal, completely. He'd desperately wanted the illusion of a perfect life that Billy's magic forced on him to be real, and he misses it. He wants that life back.
He's mostly been keeping to himself for the last couple of weeks, only emerging from his solitary apartment to get food from the store and avoiding other people. This morning, though, he can be found near the fountain, enjoying one of the last warm days of Autumn. He looks rather pale and has dark circles under his eyes, but his expression is a pleasant one. He mourns the loss of his family, especially the loss of a marriage and a child that were never his, but he needs to come back to the world. Losing himself to despair won't get him back to Kaoru and Yahiko any faster, and while he's here he needs to protect those around him. He can't turn his back on his vow.]
[Kenshin's back from hiatus and he could really use some cheering up.]

I'm afraid not. I haven't had much time to compose much in the way of songs over the years. I could perform it for you some time if you'd like though.
[Performing wasn't a big issue for him, it wasn't something he sought out often, but he didn't shy from it]

It was good to have a familiar face though. It is alright, I am sure we can improve that given time. First and foremost though...
[He takes out a portable tea kettle, a water bottle, and some tea leaves and sets it all up quickly with practiced ease]
A good cup of tea should help you feel a bit better. Better to go three days without food, than one day without tea.
[After keeping a very straight face while quoting, he then grins and pats his stomach]
Though I am not so much a fan of missing either, haha!
