003 - Action
Oct. 23rd, 2013 08:55 pm[It's been two weeks since the end of the House of M event, and Kenshin still hasn't fully recovered from what happened. He may never heal, completely. He'd desperately wanted the illusion of a perfect life that Billy's magic forced on him to be real, and he misses it. He wants that life back.
He's mostly been keeping to himself for the last couple of weeks, only emerging from his solitary apartment to get food from the store and avoiding other people. This morning, though, he can be found near the fountain, enjoying one of the last warm days of Autumn. He looks rather pale and has dark circles under his eyes, but his expression is a pleasant one. He mourns the loss of his family, especially the loss of a marriage and a child that were never his, but he needs to come back to the world. Losing himself to despair won't get him back to Kaoru and Yahiko any faster, and while he's here he needs to protect those around him. He can't turn his back on his vow.]

So...it seems that many of us weren't quite ourselves the last few days. This one certainly was not. [He bows deeply] This one apologizes for his behavior. Please be assured that this one is no longer that person.
As for the young lady this one drew a sword on...this one cannot apologize enough. This one hopes you can find it in your heart to forgive him, though he understands if you cannot. That behavior was inexcusable. This one is so very, very sorry.

Ah, hello. Please excuse the intrusion, but this one finds he has…oh.
[The camera rights itself and Kenshin smiles into it, somewhat uncertainly. He bows.]
This one is called Himura Kenshin, and he finds that he has some questions about this place. This one has memories of a brief stay in Luceti, which he originally mistook for a dream, but it seems that months have passed since then. If this one may impose, what is the current date? It was quite a bit colder when this one was here last, if indeed he was here at all.
Also, does an Okita Souji-dono still reside in the house nearest the forest? He showed this one a great kindness earlier and it must be repaid.
And finally, and most importantly, does anyone know Kamiya Kaoru-dono or a young boy, about ten years old, named Myoujin Yahiko? They are very dear to this one and they must be found.
[Kenshin bows again.]

[It's very cold, which is the first tip-off that something has gone quite wrong. Early October in the Eleventh Year of Meiji had seemed like a second summer, but now Kenshin is lying in snow.
On his wedding day.
He jumps to his feet and reaches for a sword that isn't there. Whoever brought him to this snowy wood has relieved him of his sakabatou and his normal clothing, leaving him wearing nothing but a thin pair of Western-style silk trousers.
He hears a rustle and the snap of a twig underfoot; someone is coming. Kenshin takes a defensive stance.]
Hello?
[Voice - the next day (January 17; open to everybody)]
[There is rustling as Kenshin attempts to figure out the way the book works.]
Ah is this how to...? This is so strange, speaking into a book...right, there we go. Yes. Hello! This one is called Himura Kenshin. He arrived in this place--Luceti?--yesterday.
[More rustling. Yep, that's totally Kenshin bowing to a book.]
Pardon the intrusion, but this one must ask: is there a Kamiya Kaoru-dono or a Myoujin Yakiho here as well? If so, this one would dearly like to speak with them.
